Rest in peace, Alexander McQueen. ♥

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I literally JUST saw this on CNN and almost cried. I read the article and freaaaaaaked out. That's so sad. OMG. He was onnly 40. And he was amazing. And I love him. And oh no. :(
WHYYYYYYYYYY GOD?

On his website it read:

"ON BEHALF OF LEE MCQUEEN'S FAMILY, ALEXANDER MCQUEEN TODAY ANNOUNCES THE TRAGIC NEWS THAT LEE MCQUEEN, THE FOUNDER AND DESIGNER OF THE ALEXANDER MCQUEEN BRAND HAS BEEN FOUND DEAD AT HIS HOME. AT THIS STAGE IT IS INAPPROPRIATE TO COMMENT ON THIS TRAGIC NEWS BEYOND SAYING THAT WE ARE DEVASTATED AND ARE SHARING A SENSE OF SHOCK AND GRIEF WITH LEE'S FAMILY."

It then went on to say:

"LEE'S FAMILY HAS ASKED FOR PRIVACY IN ORDER TO COME TO TERMS WITH THIS TERRIBLE NEWS AND WE HOPE THE MEDIA WILL RESPECT THIS."

He was too amazing to die. :(
This is so sad. Like, I don't know what to say.
Nonononononono.

I remember when I first got into fashion, his runway shows were the first ones I saw and it's one of the main reasons I got into it. His unique pieces were always catching my attention and everytime fashion week rolled around, I would always be sure to look at his show as soon as possible. I can honestly say that he is one of my favourite designers and he will be greatly missed. He wasn't afraid to do what he wanted to do an I have a lot of respect for him for doing that. My deepest condolences go out to his friends and family.

I can't get over the way
you love me like you do.

I know I've been basically MIA for the last month or so but I have reason to! I have no time for anything. My room still looks like a hurricane went through it so I obviously haven't progressed much.
Anyway, I took time out of my busy schedule and, as way for me to procrastinate on my already large pile of binders and textbooks waiting for me on my bed, I made an inspiration thingy. YAY.

Lo and behold, zee insparatshun.

James Dean, "Fame Is Boring" magazine cut out, Alice In Wonderland (SO excited for the movie), Lady Gaga, the stars reflecting off of icicles (I recommend looking it up. It's beautiful!), pretty lady with cool tights and an intense pocket watch, the sky at night (beaut), fireworks, SPACE (YUS!), MORE SPACE (DOUBLE YUS!), Chanel McD's, assorted pictures, newspaper cutouts, SPACE...AGAIN.

Cute, ain't it? Is it obvious that space is kind of amazing to me right now...?
Yeah...I didn't think so either. I should've put more. Dang nabbit.

This door is always open,
no one has the guts to shut us out!

32- God Save the Queen!

I haven't been on Polyvore in a LOOOOONG time so I decided to check what's new. That's where I came up with this. I decided I would make a inspiration-y collage of a few things I would probably kill for. Then I got kind of greedy and added like, ten million things. OOPS. That's what happens when you deprive yourself of Polyvore.

Left to right:
Chanel tshirt
Mike & Chris- washed leather jacket
Obesity and Speed- ripped grey tshirt
Vince- dark grey cashmere sweater
Philippe Audibert Manchette- gold plated bracelet
Nina Peter- studded gloves
Osman Yousefzada- blue suede wedges
Kai- jeans
The Sak- green shoulder bag
H&M- faux fur vest
Elizabeth and James- oversized plaid blouse
Topshop- brown studded boots
All Saint's- brown military-inspired boots
Alexander McQueen- studded ring
Chloe- white studded boots
Opening Ceremony- suede lace up boots
John Hardy- black and gold cuff
New York Doll- lace up studded boots

Long enough list? I didn't notice how much was on it until I realized it took me 20 minutes to write it out.
I need a job...for serious. :(
And I need a cameraaaaaa. DANG I'M POOR.

On happier (?) note, I'm looking for some new music. I love bands like The Smiths, Kings of Leon and The Strokes. And I love artists like Kanye West, Kid Cudi and Mika.

Any suggestions?! :)

I brought down the sky for you,
but all you did was shrug.

I know it's been a week since I updated. DON'T HATE ME. It's been a long, rough, messed up week full of school, homework, family and drama.
Anyway. I know this happened like, last month, but I just started looking through these again on style.com. So I'm kinda behind by a lot. :(

Sykes! :)

What a beaut, eh? I love the rock n' roll feel to it, and the boyfriend blazers and stuff. So pretty!
Want it. Now. Yeah. :)

Now you're in New York,
these streets will make you feel brand new.
These lights will inspire you.

WELL HELLO. :)
I've been looking at the other shows that I've missed since I have been so busy (-___________-) and I came across Proenza Schouler, who has always been one of my favourites. I can't believe it took me this long to finally look at it. From the first picture I saw, I knew I would love it. And I do. A lot.

Love it. :)
They are GENIUS. Srsly.

I am the last of the famous
international playboys!

Okay so I finally did my summer soundtrack yesterday and I posted it on the side under "Tunes".
Feel free to listen to it! I love it. :)

Oh, and I also made an inspiration collage. I actually enjoyed creating it too!

Taylor Momsen, polaroids, Mary-Kate Olsen, studs, The Ramones,
Chanel, leather, Chloe Sevigny, Interpol, Edie Sedgewick, Paris.
And then music, art and fashion of course. I tried to fit The Smiths in there, but I couldn't find any space for it. :(
I love The Smiths.
And the song Empire State of Mind by Jay-Z feat. Alicia Keys makes me think of New York which also reminds me of the night life which also is a source of inspiration. I love the New York and Paris night life.
What are your inspirations? :)

Is it too late to remind you how we were?

So my life is pretty crazy right now. Obviously. So much going on. School, friends, family, drama. This sucks. D:
I've been so caught up in everything that I haven't had the time to even look at anything related to fashion week. I should be doing homework right now (I have TONS) but I'm doing this instead. I'll probably regret it later. But oh well.

So I was looking at pictures from fashion week and came across Boy by Band of Outsiders and I've heard of them, but I never really looked at their stuff before. I think I'm in love. Srsly.

Love it. :D
I'm going to keep searching. And I WILL post the soundtrack soon. I keep forgetting or getting sidetracked. Gah! :(

I wish I was strong enough to breathe,
without you in my life.

HALOHA. ;)
So I was going through the Lookbook forum at like, 5 this morning, and came across this post about Primark's new...line...I guess you can call it. I didn't know what Primark was before this. Well no...that's a lie. I heard of it, but I never knew what they sold. I mean like, I know they sell clothes...but I didn't know what kind of clothes! That's it! :P
Anywho. I saw one of the dresses and it was an incredibly tacky Balmain rip off. I was like "WTF REALLY?!"

RIP OFF:

SO NOT COOL.
It's cool when you're inspired by something, but ripping it off like that just looks tacky. I hate it. GRRRRRR PEOPLE THESE DAYS. Can't come up with their own stuff.
/rant.

OH, off topic...kind of...anyway...
DID YOU HEAR THAT MADONNA'S STAGE BROKE AND SOMEONE DIED? I just read it a second ago when I got sidetracked from writing this thing. I was like "OMGGGG NO WAY!?!??!?!?"
That kinda sucks. That's probably going to eat away at Madonna for awhile. /:

AAAAAND, one last thing. Do me a HUGE favour and check out my polyvore? :D
I would appreciate the feedback too. :)
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE. (L)
^^ DO IT UP. :D

Oh darling, if you leave me,
I'll never make it on my own.

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. I WANT DOC MARTEN'S SO BAD. GKA;FJG;AKJG;!

I've always liked them, but I never really thought I would wear them. But after seeing Agyness Deyn and Daisy Lowe sporting them, I've kind of fallen in love with them all over again.

They are SO sick. These floral ones especially. I need a job. So I can buy them and wear the crap out of them. They are a beauty. :D
I was looking at the white ones in this, but they aren't as...grungy to me. I love grungy. :P
I can definitely see myself wearing these with black tights, a black skirt, a graphic tee and a leather jacket. With a gold watch and lots of rings. :D
I like it...

Oh, and if you like Kings of Leon, I recommend checking out their latest single "Notion". It's SOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSO good. Well, I love it.

I can't believe I let you slip away.
OH HI. :D
So I got all the depressing stuff out of my system. Okay...not completely, but enough to go on living normally. Well, normally compared to before. But that's not the point. I'm back and I'm feeling a lot better. :)
Soooooo. I kind of got my inspiration back. I'm actually kind of really happy. I was watching "Running in Heels" which is a (reality?) show about these three interns at Marie Claire. It's epic. And I was like "I WANNA DO THAT!" so I've been up all night researching and reading stuff on Teen Vogue's website. I'm going to expand the topics I talk about on here. Instead of just fashion alone, I'm going to include music, design, art and anything else that may interest me. I'm kind of excited. I think that might help me a little when my inspiration starts to lack.
So I was lying in bed last night and I started thinking about how I've been wasting away my summer. It's the same thing everyday and I'm getting bored of it. I'm going to try doing something new everyday from now on. Speaking of which, I need a bike. /:
I hate walking everywhere. It's a pain in the ass. I saw these adorable 50's-60's ish like bikes when I was in Barrie last weekend with my dad and I was like ":O". For serious. For a good five minutes until I found a Starbucks. :P
I probably won't find any like that again. ):
Like this, except white and not as childish looking.

I loved it. Then I found Starbucks around the corner and I totally forgot about it. ):
I think someone took it because when I went back it was gone...how sad...

HOLY CRAP. If you love Asher Roth (I love collegeeee!), listen to Bad Day. It's HILARIOUS. I LOL'd so bad when I listened to it. OHHH, and it's catchy. :D
KAAAY so. It is now...4:15 in the morning and I think I should really get to bed now.
AU REVOIR, mes amis. (:

Look at the shape I'm in,
talking to these walls again.

So today while I was looking for some inspiration, I realized that I love Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Seriously. Their style is absolutely amazing.
I freaking love these two! They are definitely my favourite celebrities when it comes to fashion!

Anywho, I have some cleaning to get done. I went to Barrie with my dad and brother to go visit my Godparents for the weekend and I haven't unpacked yet. I should probably get on that...
BYE! :D
